Growth Tech IT Support Service Q&A
What is the Growth Tech IT Infrastructure Management Services?
It’s about outsourcing the operations, administration, technology management, information and data in a proactive way 24*7. The scope ranges from the desktop to networking, storage, data, security and cloud-based services.
What is an Infrastructure Management Service Provider?
A company such as Growth Tech that remotely manages a customer’s IT infrastructure and end-user systems, typically on a proactive basis and based on a monthly subscription.
What if we already have an internal technical IT Support staff?
Great, No problem! Many of our customers have a designated Internal IT Support person or in-house IT department to handle the day to day technical issues or minor network issues. We allow your existing IT staff to work more effectively, saving your organization time and money. We offer customized IT plans based on your technology needs. Our plans range from 100 percent coverage to simple network monitoring and antivirus protection. We can automate tedious tasks that take up too much of your IT personnel’s time and can allow them to focus on mission-critical issues.
Can you recommend and/or purchase hardware or software for my company?
We have built relationships with many large and well-known distributors that offer us the discount to pass on to our clients in the event we’re not stocking it. We can usually meet or beat advertised prices on hardware, software and we are always happy to offer unbiased product recommendations.
Our office computers are running slow, can you help with this?
Absolutely, during our onboarding process and the first several months, we deep dive into your systems, find the gaps and resolve them. Once your systems go through our maintenance cycle, our monitoring and maintenance service will keep them running to their peak performance. Typically for older servers and computers, we recommend moving to a Solid-State Hard Drive, the speed will amaze you.
Our internet is down! This just keeps happening all the time!
We typically know your internet is down before you. We monitor our client sites for constant up-times and sometimes it’s just a web browser issue or an isolated computer having a DNS problem. We understand that not been able to browse the internet can stop production, we ask a series of questions to find if the issue is widespread or isolated. Typically, the ISP (FLOW, Digicel) are having issues, latency, or miss configured firewall causing faults. Either way, we help these issues go away.
We're always losing files and spending hours looking for them. Can you help our business?
Yes, we can! That is one of the things we do for our clients. We can help ensure your data is always available no matter the situation. We offer a cloud backup solution that can not only protect your data but help keep running your business during any disaster.
Why can't I print?
Most of the time we troubleshoot a printer issue, the printer has either lost network connection, it has not been restarted in a long time and occasionally it’s out of paper. Printers need to have either a physical or network connection to your computer. We will run through a series of questions and sometimes they just need the latest firmware to start working again.
Is free Anti-Virus / Malware software any good and should I use them?
This is where the saying “If it’s free it’s for me” does not work! They do offer basic protection but that was good in the mid-2000s when the only threat out there was a Virus or Spyware. Just having the best Anti-virus is not even close to enough to protect your business machine, they are constantly under attack! You need layered protection.
